Welcome to the Town of Allendale website. This site is designed to provide accurate and easy to use information on Allendale services and projects. We hope that you find this website useful and helpful.

For those of you that have chosen Allendale as your home, you already appreciate the qualities that make Allendale a special place. Your Allendale municipal government provides many important services including police protection, water, sewer, street and sanitation. The Town of Allendale leads the way in providing services in the most efficient ways possible.

Allendale has over 130 years of rich history. The historic downtown and adjoining heritage neighborhoods, with its many historic homes displaying architecture of the 20th century, provide a center for the entire community.

We, also, have a celebrated community university that plays a major role in enriching the cultural, educational, and economic opportunities of the citizens served. The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Campus provides access to education in a comprehensive research environment to enhance the overall quality of life for its population.

With recreation activities, abundant protected open spaces, fine schools, and outstanding services provided by a growing business community, Allendale is the best place to live.

The residents of Allendale are assured that the Allendale Town Council, the Town staff, and myself are proactive in taking steps to maintain and improve the quality of life for our residents. Together we can continue to work to make our community a special place. I am happy to serve you as the Mayor of Allendale.
